Here in Orissa there are two National park- Similipal (3200 sq km) and Bhitarkanika (672 sq km area, a Mangrove forest, core area is 145 sq km) and 19 wildlife sanctuaries. Here we introduced the unique wildlife hub of Odisha ( Orissa) , where one can enjoy the flora and fauna on nature.

Tour Duration: 14 Night/15 days

Tour Destination: This special Wildlife Adventure tour starts from Calcutta and it concludes in Bhubaneswar and cover the unique wildlife zone , which includes safari of Kuldiha Wildlife sanctuary (

famous for wild elephant on nature), Bhitarkanika National park ( famous for salt water crocodile),

Satkosia Wildlife sanctuary (famous for wild elephant, Project -Tiger and Magar crocodile on nature),

unique Debrigarh wildlife sanctuary ( famous for wild Indian Gaur , tiger, leopard etc …on nature) with

Chilika lake (famous for migratory and residence birds on nature).

 

Suggested Tour Itinerary:

Day1- upon arrival Calcutta meet our representative and transfer to hotel.

Day2-Calcutta- Balasore (By morning train)- Panchalingeswar- Kuldiha WL Sanctuary – back to hotel

Kuldiha WL Sanctuary inside has no accommodation , so one can stay in the nearest place

Panchalingeswar OTDC Panthniwas or Balasore.

Day3- Kuldiha WL Sanctuary –

full day safari take packet lunch and water with you and meet the wild animal on nature.

Day4-Kuldiha-Bhitarkanika National Park – Eco cottage (5hr drive + visit)

Upon arrival at Bhitarkanika Eco cottage after fresh up afternoon visit the local typical farmer village ( clay houses straw thatches roof with nice mural painting; and explore the village life of northern costal Orissa.

Day5-Bhitarkanika National park-

Full day programme (boating and hiking of core area- Bhitarkanika, Bagagahana, Gupty, Dangmal and meet the crocodile on nature in different creeks)

Day6- Bhitarkanika National Park-

Full day Programme (boating Ekakula, Habelikhunti, Gahirmatha area and meet the wild crocodile on nature )

Day7-Bhitarkanika – Joranda- Dhenkanal (4hr drive+visit)

Morning after breakfast proceed towards to Dhenkanal refresh and afternoon excursion the Mahima Philosophy and unique worship of Mahima sadhu at the main monastery at Joranda

Day8-Dhenkanal- Pampasara- Satkosia WL Sanctuary –(3hr drive+visit)

Nature walk in Satkosia Wildlife Sanctuary, watch the wild animal on watch tower with forest- nature guide. Relax in your resort or nature camp.

Day9-Satkosia WL Sanctuary– full day programme (safari/ hiking / watch tower)

Day10- Satkosia WL Sanctuary– Sambalpur (5hr drive+ visit)

Morning Boating on the Mahanadi River and meet the mugger crocodile on nature basking on the river bank. Then drive towards to Sambalpur.

Day11-Sambalpur-Debrigarh WL Sanctuary- eco cottage (1.30 hr drive +visit)

Morning proceed to Debrigarh Wildlife sanctuary entry your permit paper at Dhudorkusum and check in the nice eco resort. Afternoon safari to the core and meet the wild animal on nature.

Day12- Debrigarh WL Sanctuary -full day programme

Meet the wild tiger on nature ( depend upon luck) and many carnivorous and herbivorous on nature while on full day safari. Enjoy the packet lunch near Hirakud dam water site.

Day13- Debrigarh WL Sanctuary- Morning safari- Bhubaneswar ( 7hr drive+ visit)

Morning again safari to meet many animal on nature; visit the Bison trail area during safari.

Then proceed towards Bhubaneswar , upon arrival check in a nice hotel and relax.

Day14-Bhubaneswar- chilika lake day trip-Boating at Mangalajodi- Bhubaneswar ( 3hr drive+visit)

Morning after early breakfast proceed towards Chilika lake ( Mangalajodi). Ride a catamaran boat and meet the migratory and residential birds on nature and also nature walk ( 1hr but not mandatory)on the amendment. Nice sea food lunch at the eco resort near by then back to hotel.

Day15-Bhubaneswar- departure

Departure to Bhubaneswar airport or railway station for your onwards destination.

Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary

Located in the south-western part of Baleswar district (35km from Baleswar railway station , 20km from Bhadrak railway station , 12km from Panchalingeswar & 270 km from Bhubaneswar) of Odisha. The sanctuary is covering an area of 272 sq km.

The topography of the region is supports deciduous thick Sal Forest. This area is the home for boost population of wild Indian elephant and including of Tiger, Leopard, Indian Bison, Sambar, Spotted deer, Mouse deer, Nilgai, Chousingha, Sloth bear, etc.At the salt leak place one can see lots of herbivorous including wild Indian elephant collecting salt ball from the ground. Varieties of birds like peacock, hornbill, tree pie, hill myna, parakeet etc with Poisons & Non poisons snakes etc.

Nearest accommodation : Panchalingeswar – 12km, Baleswar-35km

Bhitarkanika National Park

Located in the north-eastern part of Kendrapara district of Odisha. The sanctuary is covering an area of 672 sq km and out of that 145 sq km is core area. The topography of the region is mangrove. The major wildlife of the Bhitarkanika National park include salt water crocodile, water monster Lizard, spotted deer, monkey, wild boar, jungle cat , fox, Jackal, mongoose, fishing cat, hyena etc.

The sanctuary also has a sizable bird population with prominent being 8 different type kingfisher, open bill stork, ibis , cormorants, Darters, water hen, Hupei, Tree pie, Wood Peckers, Drongos, Egrets, red jungle fowl and Herons.The flora of Bhitarkanika National Park chiefly comprises of Mangrove forest with Hental being the prominent trees.

Nearest airport: Bhubaneswar-150km from Khola entry point; Nearest Railway station: Cuttack-120km, Bhubaneswar-150km

Best time to visit: Oct. to March ( during winter chances of sighting is more) ) entry point ( for boating) for the national park open from morning 7 am to exit time 5 pm at Khola & Gupty Gate.

Closing of the sanctuary: 14May-31 July. & 1jan.-10jan.

Satkosia Wildlife Sanctuary

Located in the south- western part of Anugul district (60km from Anugul; 110km from Dhenkanal; 190 km from Bhubaneswar) of Odisha. The sanctuary is covering an area of 795 sq km which is covering four districts such as Anugul, cuttack, Nayagarh and Baud.

The Satkosia Gorge is a unique feature in geomorphology of India. Here Mahanadi has cut right across the Eastern Ghats and has formed a magnificent gorge(22km) with sylvan beauty and excellent features.

The topography of the region is supports moist deciduous forest, dry deciduous forest and moist peninsular Sal Forest. This area is the home for Tiger, Leopard, Elephant, Gaur, Sambar, Spotted deer, Mouse deer, Nilgai, Chousingha, Sloth bear, Wild dog etc., Varieties of resident and migratory birds, reptilian species( Gharial, Magar, Crocodile, Fresh Water turtle, Poisons & Non poisons snakes etc.)

Best time to visit: Oct. to April (during summer season chances of sighting is more) ; entry gate point ( Pampasara) open from morning 7am for day visit and till 5 pm for accommodation at the resort/ camp of the sanctuary.

Closing of the sanctuary: July-Aug.- Sept. ( During Monsoon)

Debrigarh Wildlife Sanctuary

Located in the northern part of Bargarh district (40km from Sambhalpur; 61 km from Bargarh) of Odisha. The sanctuary is covering an area of 347 sq km.

The topography of the region is supports northern dry deciduous Sal Forest. This area is the home for Tiger, Leopard, Indian Bison, Sambar, Spotted deer, Mouse deer, Nilgai, Chousingha, Sloth bear, Wild dog, moijitor Lizards, chameleon and Gaur etc., Varieties of resident and migratory birds arrives to Hirakud water reservoir ( which is near by to the sanctuary) reptilian species( Gharial, Magar Crocodile, Fresh Water turtle, Poisons & Non poisons snakes etc.)

Best time to visit: Oct. to May (during summer season chances of sighting is more) entry point (Dhudorkusum) open from morning 7am to 4pm for day visitor and up to 5 pm those who accommodate at the resort/ camp of the sanctuary.

Closing of the sanctuary: July-Aug.- Sept. ( During Monsoon)

Chilika Lake-Birds Sanctuary/ wild Irrawaddy Dolphin

Kanha National Park: -(160km from Jabalpur) It is one of India’s largest national parks, covering 1945 sq km including a “Core zone” 940 sq km. Due to project tiger, local awareness and a policy of wildlife management over the past 30 years has seen a steady increase in the numbers of tigers and leopards, as well as sambar, spotted deer, swamp deer and gaur (Indian bison). At the last census the tiger population was 133 and leopards numbered 107. There’s a good chance of sighting tigers, gaur and herbivores,
Besides this, there are some 200 species of birds, making Kanha a bird watcher’s paradise.
