Located in the northern part of Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh. The sanctuary is relatively a small one covering an area of only 245 sq kms. The topography of the region comprises flat and hilly terrain with altitudes ranging between 260-400 mts. The major wildlife of the Barnawapara Sanctuary include Leopard, Sloth Bear, Flying Squirrels, jackals, four-horned Antelopes, Chinkara, Black Buck, Jungle Cat, Barking Deer, Porcupine, Monkey, Bison, Striped Hyena, Wild Dogs, Chital, Sambar, Nilgai, Gaur, Muntjac, wild Boar, cobra, Pythons to name few.

Nearest Airport: Raipur-100km- (is connect with Delhi, Mumbai, Bhopal and other metro cities of india)

Nearest Railway Station- Mahasamund– 65km-1.30hr drive ; Raipur-105km-2hr drive

Best time to visit: Oct-April

Closing of the National Park:– July- sept.

Safari By: open hued maruti jeep with jungle guide (Mandatory; provide by forest department at the entrance gate- chargeable)// maximum no. of Guests per safari jeep-6 pax (excluding driver and Jungle guide)

Accommodation: eco resorts and eco cottage accommodation near Barnawapara gate.

Due to limited accommodation to avoid the rush please book in advance.

The sanctuary also has a sizable bird population with prominent being the Bulbul, Parrots, white-rumped Vultures, Green Avadavat, Lesser Kestrels, Peafowl, Wood Peckers, Racket-tailed Drongos, Egrets, and Herons.

The flora of Barnawapara wildlife sanctuary chiefly comprises of tropical dry deciduous forest with Teak, sal , Bamboo being the prominent trees.

Day1-upon arrival Raipur by road transfer (2 hr drive) to – Barnawapara Wildlife sanctuary  (Raipur is well connected by Air, Rail and Road way with Mumbai, Delhi and other major cities) check in a clean and comfort eco resort and after fresh up afternoon meet the wild animal and birds on nature while Rumble around the sanctuary by 1st jeep safari.

 

Day2- Early standup for the jeep safari and rumble around the sanctuary and meet some rear species of animal and birds on nature.

Also near to the waterhole point to meet the wild animal on nature. Afternoon again the open jeep safari

Day3- Early standup again for 4th open jeep Safari to meet the wild tiger on nature (depend upon luck) then after breakfast departure for your onwards destination.

Note: our tour price includes four safaris, 2night accommodation, all food (2breakfast, 2lunch & 2dinner) with mineral bottled water for drink, taxi with fuel from arrival till departure and naturalist during safari.
