1- Tarnetar Fair : Date of celebration: (5th – 7th  Sept. 2024)

Location of the Fair: -It is organised in Tarnetar village some 39 kilometres from Chotila in Surendranagar District in Gujarat.
Summery of the Fair:- The Tarnetar Fair, also known as the Trinetreshwar Mahadev Fair is held at Tarnetar, near Thangadh, Saurashtra. This fair is one of the most important fair of Gujarat. The local as well as the tribal people gather from all over Gujarat to participate in the various activities that 

take place at the fair. It is believed that the fair is held on this ancient site since antiquity. The fair is also one of the most important matchmaking melas (fair) as the tribal youths visit Tarnetar to find a suitable match. Its association with the Mahabharat is underlined by the fact that the area was known as Panchal Pradesh, the land to which Draupadi belonged. The fair is linked with the story of Draupadi’s Swayamvar and it is said that it was at this place that the great archer Arjuna performed the difficult task that won him his bride. Over 300 stalls are set up in the fair that sell numerous objects and offer various types of food and refreshments. There are exhibitions of embroidery, a cattle show, competitive sports, family planning stall, merry-go-rounds and photographer’s stall. The folk music and dances like the Garba ras and hodo are the main features of the fair.
Highlight of Fair:  It is popularly known as the Trinetreshwar Mahadev Mela and revolves around the sacred temple of Trinetreshwar. Even now, the tradition of swayamvar has survived and unmarried men and women from the Bharwad and other tribal community visit the fair in search of a match, attired in their traditional clothes. Men stand under exquisitely embroidered umbrellas signifying their marital status while women go around the umbrella hunting for their grooms.

Activities at the Fair: Cattle exhibition is an attraction for the tourists with other programmes like ‘Rural Olympics’, bullock cart race and horse race is held at Tarnetar. Local arts and crafts display is an added trade attraction. The tourists have an opportunity to learn the folk dances like the Hudo and Raas dance of the Maladhari community. Heritage monuments are a sightseeing attraction at the venue place. Tarnetar Fair venue provides accommodation in tents and kuba houses for the tourists.
A mix blend of culture, tradition and social extravaganza, the Tarnetar Fair has gained popularity with more foreign tourists visiting the place.

2- Kavant Tribal Fair : Date of celebration: (28th March & 29th March. 2024)

Location of the Fair: it is celebrate near Chhottaudeypur , Eastern part of Gujarat

Summery of the Fair:- It is celebrated by Rathwa tribal community , and it is not only the Fair of Marriage negotiation  of these tribe. but also trade and barter their product with full of joy.

Highlight of this Fair: Young unmarried Rathwa tribal boys painted their face with white dotted mark to attract their life partner with their traditional costume and tribal girls also at their traditional costume too.

3- Chitra Vichitra Tribal fair 2021  :  Date of celebration: (22nd & 23rd April 2024)

Location of Fair: at Gunbhakhari, Sabarkanta / near poshina of North Gujarat

Every spring in Gunbhakari, at the confluence of three rivers in North Gujarat, Garasia, Gamar, Khair and Pargi tribals get together for Chitra Vichitra Mela, the biggest tribal mela (Fair) near the village of Poshina in the StateIt is one of the largest tribal fair in india, thousands of tribes gathering in the confluence point to three river Sabarmati, Akul and Vyakul to offering their ancestor.

Highlight of the Fair: The fair attracts large numbers of Bhils ( tribals). The costume of the men generally consists of a blue shirt, dhoti and a red or Saffron turban. Women use ghaghras , which have a circumference of as much as 20 yards (18 mts), and are covered from head to foot With ornate and heavy silver jewellery. They use liquid Vermilion to color their cheeks and lips a nice red color, while their eyes are Outlined with Kajal. Every group that comes ot the fair carries with the different musical instrument and the atmosphere come alive with the Incessant beat of numerous drums. The women sing folk songs and folk dances are performed.
During the fair, the tribals have a much civilized way of choosing a life partner and the State sponsor’s family planning to various 37 tribal communities as family planning appears rather than aberration among the tribal

4-Navratri : Date of celebration: (15th Oct.- 24th Oct. 2023)
Navratri, that means ‘nine nights’ is an ancient, colourful and religious festival of Gujarat. This festival is celebrated to honour the one Divine Shakti or Force which supports the entire universe and is personified as the Mother Goddess. The Mother Goddess protects her worshippers, destroys evil and grants boons to her children.
Navratri is celebrated with joy and enthusiasm throughout the Gujarat, but in Ahmedabad and Baroda, Garba and Dandia dances are performed. This festival is celebrated with true devotion in the various temples which are dedicated to the Mother Goddess. In this festival, the women perform the Garba dance or the circular dance around an earthenware pot called a garbo which is filled with water. A betel nut and a silver coin are placed within the pot, on the top of which a coconut is placed. As the dancers whirl around the pot, a singer and a drummer also accompanies them. The participants clap in a steady rhythm. The dance usually starts slowly and gets fast with the music. In large public areas, group of musicians sing the traditional garba songs. The Dandia ras or ‘stick’ dance is also performed during Navratri. Both the men and women perform the dance in circle, holding small polished sticks or dandies. As per the rhythm of the dance, men and women strike the dandies together, adding to the joyous atmosphere. These dances are so popular that sometimes competitions are held and prizes are given to the best dancer. The dancers worn the traditional costumes, alive with colour. The dances usually commence late in the night and continue until early morning. A Bhavai dance is also performed in the Ambaji temple at Baroda, during Navratri.

5- Vautha Fair : Date of celebration: (23rd – 27th Nov. 2023)

Location of the Fair : This fair is held every year at Vautha, where two rivers , the sabarmati and the Vatrak meet

Summery: , vautha fair site is also known as Saptasangam as it is at the confluence of seven rivers. Legends says the elder son of shiva and parvati- Kartik, visited the site. So this fair is dedicated to Kartikeya and is held during Kartika Purnima, the full moon night of Kartik ( Oct- Nov) . the most important shiva temple here is the Siddhanath .

Highlight of the Fair: The most significant about this fair is that it is the only major animal trading fair in Gujarat ad is on par with the famous camel fair at Pushkar, Rajasthan. Howerver the only animals traded here are donkeys. About 4,000 donkeys are brought every year for sale, usually by vanjara traders. Donkeys are painted in different colors and decorated and this is a major highlight of the fair.
Vautha Mela attracts more than 500,000 people.the pilgrims who visit Vautha during the fair are from several communities farmers, people belonging to several castes.

6-Diwali : Date of celebration: (12th  Nov. 2023)
Summery: Diwali, the festival of lights is a four-day festival celebrated in the month of Asvina, which marks the end of the harvesting season. The first day of the festival starts with the Lakshmi Puja. The second day is considered as the day of casting off evils. The third day is the main Diwali day. On this day every home is illuminated with earthen lamps and the courtyards are decorated with Rangoli designs. The fourth and the last day is the New year day for the Gujarati’s when people visit temples in colorful costumes and greet each other. The day following the new year day is called the Bhai bij day when brothers are invited by their sisters to partake of sweets with them. The full moon day of the Kartika month, with its preceding eleventh (ekadashi) day is called the Dev-Diwali. On these days the marriage of the Tulsi plant with the Shaligram, symbolising Lord Vishnu, is celebrated in every Hindu home in Gujarat. It also marks the end of the fast, observed for the four months of rainy season, during which Hindus, mostly ladies, miss a meal on every Ekadashi day.

7- Madhavrai Fair
Madhavrai Fair at Madhavpur near Porbandar is held to celebrate the marriage of Lord Krishna and Rukmini, on the 9th day of the bright half of the month of Chaitra (March/April).

8- Urs
The Urs at Shah Alam Roza in Ahmedabad and at Miran Datar in the Mehsana district are most important fairs for Muslims.

9- International Kite Festival: Date of celebration: (14th January 2024)

Location of the Festival  :  On this day, the kites flew all over Gujarat, including Ahmedabad and Baroda.
Summery: The International Kite Festival is celebrated on 14th January, that coincide with the festival of Uttarayan or Makar Sankranti. The festival is celebrated to mark the end of winter.

The people eat the special food on this day in the open field or in the park or in the garden of one’s home. This festival marks the movement of the sun into the northern hemisphere. The gods who are believed to have gone in a long sleep for six long months awake and the portals of heaven are thrown open. The visitors visit the temples and alms are distributed freely.

Highlight of Festival: The kite flying starts at dawn and continues without a pause throughout the day. Friends, neighbors and total strangers battle one another for supremacy and cries of triumph fill the air when they cut each other kites. The thread which is used to fly the kites are specially prepared by experts before the final day. Special mixtures of glue and ground glass cover the thread which is dried and then rolled onto reels known as firkees. In the night, various illuminated box kites, known as tukkals, fly in the sky. Today, the International Kite Festival is famous all over the world. This festival enables the people of Ahmedabad to see the unusual kites brought by the visitors, some of which are truly works of art.

10- Modhera Dance Festival
The Modhera Dance Festival is held during the third week of January every year, after the festival of Uttarayan. This festival is celebrated at the Sun Temple in Modhera. The style in which the temple was built bears a strong resemblance to that of the Jain temples at Mount Abu. The decision to celebrate the annual festival of Indian classical dances was taken by the Department of Culture, Gujarat, and the West Zone Cultural Centre at the Sun Temple. The idea was to present classical dances in an atmosphere similar to that in which thes Uttarayan.

Day 3-Bhopal- Sanchi-Udaygiri-Bhopal ( 120km-3hr drive+visit)

Morning visit the world famous Sanchi stupa ( world heritage site by UNESCO) , The great Stupa of Sanchi, built by emperor Ashok , has become an icon of India’s cultural heritage. it is the most famous of a host of stupas, monasteries, temples and pillars on this hill, dating from the 3rd c BC to the 12th c AD. Then drive to Udaygiri rock cut cave (5th c AD, Gupta period where special attraction is the legend story of god vishnu’s 3rd incarnation- Varaha depict there very clearly. Return back hotel , lunch and then after noon visit the city sightseeing of Bhopal. The town’s 1.5 km-long riverfront is renowned for its bathing ghats and rows of pretty, tiered temples. Morning while boating on the river Narmada , view the activities on the river ghat. Visit the Maheswar and kaleshwara, Rajarajeshwara , Ahileshwar temple then after lunch drive towards indore to board the night train for Jabalpur.

Bera Wild Leopard Sanctuary/ Safari

Located on Aravali mountain range of the southern Pali dist. Of Rajasthan (161 km from Udaipur , 398 km from Jaipur and 602 km from New Delhi). The sanctuary is covering its span area of 1412 sq km and out of that 258 sq km is core area. The topography of the region is supports western dry lands moist dry deciduous forest.

This wildlife sanctuary  is the home for different species of flora and fauna, which covered with different species of Deciduous plant

Fauna : This sanctuary is the haven for Wild Indian Leopard , Leopard is very shy animal but here most chances to sight this wild animal on nature  other then Blue bull , Hyena, Jackel, deers, rabbits, , four-horned antelope, chinkara, black buck, Indian muntjac, and wild boar etc., Varieties of birds and reptilian species  etc.)

Day2- Bera (Leopard ) Wildlife Sanctuary-

Early stand up for the 2nd jeep safari and drive towards Bera pathar area, overlook the photographic view of the sanctuary. and meet wild Leopard on nature with cubs. (90% chances to sight the wild leopard on nature).

Afternoon 3rd open jeep safari to meet the wild leopard on nature. overnight at the same heritage haveli and relax with camp fire and mouth watering dinner.

Pench National park: It is located on the southern boundary of Madhya Pradesh, bordering Maharashtra, in the districts of Seoni and Chhindwara.Pench National Park, comprising of 758 SQ Kms, out of which a core area of 299 sq km is the national park and and remaining 464 sq km is the buffer area.

The area has always been rich in wildlife. The area is especially famous for large herds of Gaur (Indian Bison), Cheetal, Sambar, Nilgai, Wild Dog and Wild boar. The key predator is the Tiger followed by Leopard, Wild Dog and Wolf. Pench tiger reserve has highest density of herbivores in India (90.3 animals per sq km).

 

There are over 285 species of resident and migratory birds including the Malabar Pied Hornbill, Indian Pitta, Osprey, Grey-headed Fishing Eagle, White-eyed Buzzard, etc

Nagzira wildlife sanctuary  is located in the Bhandara district of Maharashtra at21°15′24″N80°1′30″E. This sanctuary has a number of fish, 34 species of mammals, 166 species of birds, 36 species of reptiles and four species of amphibians. The invertebrate fauna includes, besides a number of insects and ant species. Wild animals found here are the tiger, bison, sambar, nilgai, chital, wild boar, sloth bear and wild dog. There are also ten tigers, panthers and one elephant.

Tadoba National Park : – Tadoba Tiger Reserve is the pristine and unique eco-system situated in the Chandrapur district of the Maharashtra State of India. The Reserve contains some of the best of forest tracks and endowed with rich biodiversity. It is famous for its natural heritage. Tadoba Tiger reserve was created in 1995. The area of the Reserve is 625.40 sq. km. This includes Tadoba National Park, created in 1955 with an area of 116.55 sq. km.

Often referred to as “The Jewel of Vidharba”, the Tadoba National Park lies in the heart of a reserved forest, it is an infinite treasure trove of innumerable species of trees and plants – and wildlife that includes tigers, panthers, sloth bears, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, bison, barking deer, nil gai, sambar, and cheatal.

After visit their idital and settlement in the beautiful velly return back to Rayagada. Check in a nice clean and comfort hotel at there.

D12-(Wed)-Dunguria tribe market- Kuvi kondh village- Mali village –Camping ( tented accommodation) (4hr drive+Visit)

Meet the colorful Dunguria Kondh Tribe at their market at Chatikona, then drive towards Jeypore enroute visit the Kuvi Kondh tribe at their village and paraja tribal market near Koraput area. Then proceed to the friendly Mali tribe village and camping over there.

Meet the most colourful Bondo tribe at their weekly market at Onkadelly and then after enjoy the gorgeous waterfall at Duduma and explore the life style of Gadhava people at their village and then drive back to Jeypore, free evening for self.

D14-(Fri)- Jeypore- Koraput- famous pottery making village- Kunduli market- Visakhapatnam ( 5hr drive+visit)

Morning after refreshment drive towards to Visakhapatnam, ( the nearest airport and main railway junction). Enroute visit the Jagannath temple at Koraput ( allow all religious people and camera). Day1 -Khajuraho-

Upon arrival at Khajuraho airport meet our representative and transfer to nice hotel. Afternoon visit the western group of temple and excursion the language of stone and also watch the light and sound programme during evening inside of western group of temple. Overnight at the same hotel.

Day2 – Khajuraho-Bhopal(380km- 7hr drive+visit)

Early stand up to explore the ancient jain temple at the eastern group of monument at Khajuraho and then departure for Bhopal and after long drive check in a nice palace hotel at Bhopal . (while long drive visit some of the ethenic Bhil tribe peoples’ village).

Day3 – Bhopal- Sanchi-Udaygiri-Bhopal ( 120km-3hr drive+visit)

Morning visit the world famous Sanchi stupa ( world heritage site) , The great Stupa of Sanchi, built by emperor Ashok , has become an icon of India’s cultural heritage. it is the most famous of a host of stupas, monasteries, temples and pillars on this hill, dating from the 3rd c BC to the 12th c AD. Then drive to Udaygiri rock cut cave (5th c AD, Gupta period where special attraction is the legend story of god vishnu’s 3rd incarnation- Varaha depict there very clearly. Return back hotel , lunch and then after noon visit the city sightseeing of Bhopal. Bhopal: it’s ancient name was Bhojpal ( Raja Bhoj of 12 c AD ruled over here ) in early 18th C AD it concord by Dost Mohammad and he ruled here 32 year so many muslim monument found on the old part of city. So during you excursion on the old part of city visit the Taj-ul-hawk mosque ( one of the largest mosque in India) , Jama masjid, Moti masjid and Gohar mahal in chowk area. Overnight at the same hotel.

Day4 – Bhopal- Ujjain(188km-4hr drive+visit)

Morning drive towards Ujjain , check in a clean comfort hotel at there and afternoon visit the Mahakeleswar temple , Bade Ganesh Jee temple and early evening join the holy arati of river shipra then return back to hotel.

Day5 – Ujjain-Mandu (145km-3hr drive+visit)

Morning after breakfast drive towards to Mandu. Upon arrival at there check in a nice hotel on the side of lake. Afternoon visit the eco point and Baz Bahadur and Rani Roopmati palace. Mandu:- the erstwhile fort capital of the Parmara rulers of Malwa. Mandu was renamed shadiabad, “the city of Joy”, by the sultan of Malwa at the end of the 13th century. It embodies the love of the poet-prince Baz Bahadur for his beautiful consort Rani Roopmati; her pavilion. Under mughals, Mandu became a pleasure resort,with its many lakes and palaces.

Day6 – Mandu

Morning explore the city of joy again, to visit the famous Jahaz mahal( The palace like ship) and hindola Mahal, as well as ornamental canals, bath and pavilions. Jami Masjid, and Hoshang Shah’s Tomb, which provided inspiration to the builders of the Taj Mahal with in the royal enclosure, afternoon visit the champa Baoli, Dilawar Khan’s Mosque, Nahar Jharokha, Gada Shah’s shop and house, and taveli Mahal and also ashrafi Mahal, hati Mahal and Dariya Khan’s Tomb etc.

Day7 – Mandu-Omkareswar-Maheswar(190km-4hr drive+visit)

Departure for Omkareswar : a riverine island at the confluence of the Narmada and the Cauvery, Omkareswar is renowned for its medieval Brahmanic temples. This tiny island consists of two hills and a valley, throught to resemble the Hindu symbol “ om”. The exquisitely carved shri Omkar Mandhata temple on the island houses on of the twelve Jyotirlingas. Visit also Siddhanath Temple of 10th c AD. The 24 avatars, a cluster of Jain Temples and the Satmatrika temples. Then drive towards Maheswar. Check in a nice Ahalyabai palace afternoon visit the Rehwa weavers’ society.

Day8 – Maheswar-Indore ( 80km- 2hr drive then Night train to Jabalpur)

Maheswar:-Located on teh banks of the Narmada river,Maheshwar was identified as “ Mahesmati”an important cultural centre during Ramayana and Mahabharat . the town was resored to its pre eminent position in the 18th century by the revered Holkar queen, Rani Ahilyabai of Indore. The town’s 1.5 km-long riverfront is renowned for its bathing ghats and rows of pretty, tiered temples. Morning while boating on the river Narmada , view the activities on the river ghat. Visit the Maheswar and kaleshwara, Rajarajeshwara , Ahileshwar temple then after lunch drive towards indore to board the night train for Jabalpur.

Day9 – Jabalpur

Upon arrival Jabalpur check in hotel at Bhedaghat on the bank of river Narmada. Jabalpur:- Pleasure resort and 12th century capital of the Gond kings and later the seat of the Kalchuri dynesty. Morning boat ride on Bhedaghat: Soaring in glittering splendour , the Marble Rocks at Bhedaghat rise to a hundred feet on either side of the Narmada as it flows through a narrow gorge. Also visit the stunning Dhuandhar Falls and the Chausath Yogini Temple. Overnight relax at the same hotel at there.

Day10 – Jabalpur- Kanha National Park(170km- 4hr drive+visit)

Departure for Kanha , check in a nice clean and comfort jungle resort at there. Afternoon visit the gond tribe village near entry point of the buffer zone. Kanha: Tiger –spotting is virtually guaranteed at Kanha as it has the highest number tiger in India. Vividly portrayed in Kipling’s Jungle Book, its sal forests, grasslands and streams are the haunt of the majestic tiger. Fauna includes leopard, gaur, barking deer, black buck, the rare hard ground barasingha and over two hundred avian species and many more.

Day11 – Kanha National Park

Meet the wild tiger and also other herbivorous on nature while jeep safari in the early morning and afternoon ( regarding the jeep safari ,which is previously booked by us . our guide will proper inform to you). Overnight in the same resort.

Day12 – Kanha National Park-Bharamdeo(150km-4hr drive+vist)

Morning again one jeep safari in the core zone of Kanha. Then after lunch drive to Bharamdeo ( chhatishgarh state), enroute visit one of the colourful tribe of chhatishgarh- Baiga at their village. Then check in a nice resort at Bharmdeo and relax. Bharamdeo: one of the nice cultural heritage place of chhatishgarh on the velly of Maikal hill, famous for its Bharamdeo temple-11th c AD ( famously known as the Khajuraho of chhatishgarh).

Morning visit the Bharmadeo temple nearby and then strait drive to Barnawapara wild life sanctuary via: Siripur. Siripur: once the capital of Dakhin Kosal and rulled by kalchuri, parmar dynesty etc during Gupta period and post gupta period this region was culturally highly developed by these dynesty so during their period Budhist and hindu monastery developed in these region. Visit the group of monastery , surang tolla, kuti vihar etc also visit the only brick temple of central india- Lakhanath temple-6 c AD, Ancient market yard palce etc at there then drive towards Barnawapara wild life sanctuary – check in a nice jungle resort at there and relax on bon fire.

Day14 – Barnawapara wild life sanctuary

Meet the wild life such as leopard, barasinga, parquipine, barking deer , spotted deer and many more while early morning and afternoon jeep safari( regarding time please consult with you guide in advance).

Day15 – Barnawapara wildlife sanctuary- Raipur drop.(2hr drive+visit)

Morning breakfast at the wild bird watch riverside on nature. After lunch or accordingly your time checkout and departure for Raipur airport for your onwards journey.
