Kanha National Park: -(160km from Jabalpur) It is one of India’s largest national parks, covering 1945 sq km including a “Core zone” 940 sq km. Due to project tiger, local awareness and a policy of wildlife management over the past 30 years has seen a steady increase in the numbers of tigers and leopards, as well as sambar, spotted deer, swamp deer and gaur (Indian bison). At the last census the tiger population was 133 and leopards numbered 107. There’s a good chance of sighting tigers, gaur and herbivores, Besides this, there are some 200 species of birds, making Kanha a bird watcher’s paradise. A project Tiger Reserve harboring and abundance of wildlife species, Kanha enjoys the status of a well-maintained and tourist-friendly National Park.

Day1-Jabalpur-Kanha National Park (Jabalpur is well connected with Mumbai, Delhi , Bhopal and other major cities) morning upon arrival Jabalpur transfer by road to Kanha (3hr drive) , check in a nice resort and afternoon 1st open jeep safari.

Day2- Kanha National Park – Morning and afternoon open jeep safari/ meet the wild tiger on nature (depend upon luck) with lots of herbivorous.

Day3- morning 4th safari and breakfast then drive to Jabalpur board the evening flight or train to your onward destination.

Badmul is a small village in Nayagarh,(110 km from Bhubaneswar) on the foothills of majestic mountains and on the other side one would see the serenity of magnanimous Mahanadi River meandering through the golden sand bars. The alarm call of Spotted Deer & Sambar makes one realize that Satkosia is a Tiger Reserve after all. It’s the jungle of Leopards, Dholes and Wild Cats. The crocodiles basking on the white sands on a winter morning, with the backdrop of rising sun is a picture that is real here.

Feel the joy of spending nights in the Tents amidst the wilderness of dense and shady forests in your backyard. The whispering sounds of ripples of the following river, mixed with the melodic chirping of birds makes its way through your luxurious tents, rejuvenating your mornings. Day1- Bhubaneswar- Baghmari- Satkosia ( Badmul) ( 2hr drive+ visit)

Morning drive from Bhubaneswar to Badmul via- Baghmari enroute if time permit visit hot sulpher spring at Atri. Upon arrival check in the eco tent. Afternoon safari in the wildlife sanctuary.

Day2-Satkosia (Badmul)- river ride – Sidhamula- back

Early hiking & Jungle walk along Mahanadi River within the wilderness of Tiger Reserve (approximately 2 hr) during hiking watch a wide array of birds (Rare Indian Skimmers, Pied Hornbills and Hill Mynas and many more), crocodiles ( Endangered Gharial & Muggers), Butterflies and other wild animals.

After lunch drive towards Sidhamula (1.30hr drive) – Gokulananda temple enroute meets the roaming of wild animal on nature.

During dinner enjoy the mouth watering veg, non-veg food at the camp fire place on river bed.

Day4- Satkosia (Badmul)-Departure

Morning after breakfast departure for your onwards destination.

Located in the south- western  part of Anugul district (60km from Anugul; 110km from Dhenkanal; 190 km from Bhubaneswar) of Odisha. The sanctuary is covering an area of 795 sq km which is covering four districts such as Anugul, cuttack, Nayagarh and Baud.

The Satkosia Gorge is a unique feature in geomorphology of India. Here Mahanadi has cut right across the Eastern Ghats and has formed a magnificent gorge(22km) with sylvan beauty and excellent features.

The topography of the region is supports moist deciduous forest, dry deciduous forest and moist peninsular Sal Forest. This area is the home for Tiger, Leopard, Elephant, Gaur, Sambar, Spotted deer, Mouse deer, Nilgai, Chousingha, Sloth bear, Wild dog etc., Varieties of resident and migratory birds, reptilian species( Gharial, Magar, Crocodile, Fresh Water turtle, Poisons & Non poisons snakes etc.)

Best time to visit: Oct. to April (during summer season chances of sighting is more) ; entry gate point ( Pampasara) open from morning 7am to 4pm for day visitor  and up to 5 pm those who accommodate at the resort/ camp of the sanctuary.

Closing of the sanctuary: July-Aug.- Sept. ( During Monsoon)
