Debrigarh Wildlife Sanctuary


Located in the northern  part of Bargarh district (40km from Sambhalpur; 61 km from Bargarh) of Odisha. The sanctuary is covering an area of 347 sq km.

The topography of the region is supports northern dry deciduous Sal Forest. This area is the home for Tiger, Leopard, Indian Bison, Sambar, Spotted deer, Mouse deer, Nilgai, Chousingha, Sloth bear, Wild dog, moijitor Lizards, chameleon and Gaur etc., Varieties of resident and migratory birds arrives to Hirakud water reservoir ( which is nearby to the sanctuary)  reptilian species( Gharial, Magar Crocodile, Fresh Water turtle, Poisons & Non poisons snakes etc.)

Best time to visit: Oct. to May (during summer season chances of sighting is more) entry point (Dhudorkusum) open from morning 7am to 4pm for day visitor and up to 5 pm those who accommodate at the resort/ camp of the sanctuary.

Closing of the sanctuary: July-Aug.- Sept. ( During Monsoon)

Nearest Airport: Raipur: 243km, Bhubaneswar- 317km ; Nearest Railway Station- Sambalpur-40km, Bargarh-61km

There are eco cottage and tent in the buffer area (Dhudorkusum, entry point area) of this Wildlife Sanctuary.  There is limited accommodation, to avoid the rush please book in advance.

Upon arrival of Debrigarh Wildlife Sanctuary check in a clean and comfort eco resort at Dhudorkusum and after fresh up afternoon Rumble around the sanctuary by vehicle and meet the wild animal on nature.

Day2- Debrigarh Wildlife Sanctuary

Early standup for hiking in nature trail with our experts to meet different flora and fauna on nature and then boat ride at Hirakud reservoir   in the river Mahanadi and enjoy the panoramic view of nature. Afternoon safari towards Bison ( Indian Gaur ) trail area and meet the wild animal on nature rumble around the core area meet the wild big cat on nature ( depend upon luck)  where more chance to sighting wild carnivorous and herbivorous on nature. Evening enjoy the  Mouth watering dinner at eco resort  and relax.

Day3- Satkosia Wildlife Sanctuary-Departure

Morning after breakfast safari in side core area with special permission and then departure towards Sambalpur or  your onwards destination.

Located in the south- western  part of Anugul district (60km from Anugul; 110km from Dhenkanal; 190 km from Bhubaneswar) of Odisha. The sanctuary is covering an area of 795 sq km which is covering four districts such as Anugul, cuttack, Nayagarh and Baud.

The Satkosia Gorge is a unique feature in geomorphology of India. Here Mahanadi has cut right across the Eastern Ghats and has formed a magnificent gorge(22km) with sylvan beauty and excellent features.

The topography of the region is supports moist deciduous forest, dry deciduous forest and moist peninsular Sal Forest. Day1-Ahmedabad

Upon arrival at airport meet & greet our representative and transfer to hotel.

(there is connective and also direct international flight to Ahmedabad)

Pm- if time permit  visit the famous Mahatma Gandhi Ashram on the bank of Sabarmati River.

Note- Entire Gujarat state is alcohol free zone (means openly there is no bar or liquor shop ) but there is particular area in Ahmadabad -alcohol sale by govt. authority to show your passport and proper documentation one can buy / Our guide/ driver will help you if you desire.

Overnight – Ahmedabad.

Day2-Ahmedabad- sightseeing/ – Champaner- Jambughoda (3.30hr drive+ visit)

Morning heritage walk in the world heritage city recommended by UNESCO – old town area and then sidi sayed square , jama masjid etc

Note- The heritage walk starts every morning at 8am at a particular point please report half an hour before in it/ our driver or guide will help you .

Pm- proceed to Jambughoda and enroute visit the world heritage site at Champaner . Check in a nice palace (Heritage) hotel at Jambughoda.

Day3-Jambughoda- Rathwa Tribal village- Chhottaudaipur (3.30hr drive + visit)

Day4-Chhottaudaipur- Lothal- Palitana (4.30hr drive + visit)

Excursion the Real history of Harpan, Mohenjodaro period (date back of Indus valley civilization) / ancient port / Village settlement at  –famous Lothal ( 3700 BC) – Harpan, Mohenjodaro period and then proceed to Palitana, check in a nice heritage palace at there.

Day5-Palitana Jain temples- Palitana (1.30hr drive+ visit)

Early standup to climb for Satrunjaya hill (2hr to climb by steps) , and excursion the group of jain live temple at there / back to the base by steps .

Morning after royal breakfast at the open garden / or the royal dying (accordingly your choice) check out and proceed to Gir National park.

Day12-Sayala- Tribal village/ Boating- Sayala(3hr drive+ visit)

While boating cross the river and meet the pandhara , Morbi and Navlak tribal communities at their isolated non tourist village,  overnight at the same palace at Sayala.

Late after enjoy the campfire with nice snacks and dinner at the royal palace.

Jat– one of the most colorful and aggressive ethnic group of classic Gujarat, with out help of village cheap it is impossible to visit their village, and luckily we have very good local relation with the village cheap and his son so for us it is very possible to conduct and excursion their village.

Nagzira wildlife sanctuary is located in the Bhandara district of Maharashtra at21°15′24″N80°1′30″E. This sanctuary has a number of fish, 34 species of mammals, 166 species of birds, 36 species of reptiles and four species of amphibians.

Nearly 34 – species of mammal belonging to about 8 natural orders and 16 families are seen in this sanctuary, out of which about 14 species are of endangered status, namely Tiger, Panther, Jungle Cat, Small Indian Civet, Palm Civet, wolf, Jackal, Sloth Bear, Ratel, Common Giant Flying Squirrel, Gaur, Four Horned Antelope, Mouse Deer, Pangolin etc

The avifauna of this sanctuary is it’s most attractive wildlife feature. Well over 166 species belonging to about 16 different orders and 47 families have been recorded here. Also as many as 15 species of migratory birds and about 42 species of local migrants are reported. One remarkable bird, “Bar-headed Goose” which is a winter migrant from Ladakh and Tibet inhabits Chorkhamara tank located adjoining the sanctuary. There are 13 bird species of endangered status including peafowl and the birds belonging to ‘ Accipitridae” family.
