Bera wild leopard sancturary/ safari

Located on the southern Pali dist. Of Rajasthan (161 km from Udaipur , 398 km from Jaipur and 602 km from New Delhi). The sanctuary is covering its span area of 1412 sq km and out of that 258 sq km is core area. The topography of the region is supports western dry lands moist dry deciduous forest.

This national park is the home for different species of flora and fauna, which covered with different species of Deciduous plant Fauna : Beside Africa this is the place in the world where the wild lion roaming freely in nature. and Asiatic lions are the main attraction at here ( accordingly last census 523 lions are here and 300 leopard too) other then Blue bull, Hyena, Jackel, deers, rabbits, , four-horned antelope, chinkara, black buck, Indian muntjac, and wild boar etc., Varieties of birds and reptilian species etc.)

Best time to visit: November to 15th June

Closing of the sanctuary: 15th June to Oct. ( During Monsoon)

Day1- Udaipur- Bera ( 3.30hr drive+ visit)

Upon arrival Udaipur airport transfer by road to Bera , check in a nice heritage haveli and after fresh up afternoon meet the wild animal and birds on nature while Rumble around the sanctuary by 1st jeep safari.

Day2- Bera (Leopard ) Wildlife Sanctuary-

Early standup for the 2nd jeep safari and drive towards Bera pathar area, overlook the photographic view of the sanctuary. and meet wild Leopard on nature with cubs. (90% chances to sight the wild leopard on nature).

Afternoon 3rd open jeep safari to meet the wild leopard on nature. overnight at the same heritage haveli and relax with camp fire and mouth watering dinner.

Day3-Bera Wildlife Sanctuary–Departure

Morning again one safari (4th safari) and after breakfast departure for your onwards destination.

Nagzira wildlife sanctuary


Nagzira wildlife sanctuary is located in the Bhandara district of Maharashtra at21°15′24″N80°1′30″E. This sanctuary has a number of fish, 34 species of mammals, 166 species of birds, 36 species of reptiles and four species of amphibians.

Nearly 34 – species of mammal belonging to about 8 natural orders and 16 families are seen in this sanctuary, out of which about 14 species are of endangered status, namely Tiger, Panther, Jungle Cat, Small Indian Civet, Palm Civet, wolf, Jackal, Sloth Bear, Ratel, Common Giant Flying Squirrel, Gaur, Four Horned Antelope, Mouse Deer, Pangolin etc

The avifauna of this sanctuary is it’s most attractive wildlife feature. Well over 166 species belonging to about 16 different orders and 47 families have been recorded here. Also as many as 15 species of migratory birds and about 42 species of local migrants are reported. One remarkable bird, “Bar-headed Goose” which is a winter migrant from Ladakh and Tibet inhabits Chorkhamara tank located adjoining the sanctuary. There are 13 bird species of endangered status including peafowl and the birds belonging to ‘ Accipitridae” family.

Day4-Jambughoda- Rathwa Tribal village- Chhottaudaipur

Meet the very colorful Rathwa tribes at their isolated village and explore their life style too and check in a nice palace hotel at Chhottaudaipur, afternoon visit the nice colorful weekly market.

Day5-Chhottaudaipur- Lothal- Palitana

Visit the historical famous Lothal ( 3700 BC) – Harpan, Mohenjodaro period and then proceed to Palitana, check in a nice heritage palace at there.

Day6-Palitana Jain temples- Gir National Park

Early standup to climb for Satrunjaya hill, and excursion the group of jain live temple at there and after royal lunch at palace proceed towards Gir National park. Check in a nice five star hotel and relax.

Day7-Gir National Park safari

Meet the wild Asiatic lion during morning and afternoon open jeep safari with naturalist.

Day8-Gir National park safari- Siddi Tribal village- Somnath

Morning again one safari at the national park, then check out and proceed to somnath enroute visit the only pure African tribes in india – siddi tribal communities.

Day9-Somnath- Gondal

Morning holy visit to the temple and after breakfast check out and departure towards Gondal, check in a nice heritage palace in Gondal, after noon visit the classic part of Gondal.

Day10-Gondal- S/S- Rajkot

During heritage walk at the classic part of Gondal visit the age old palace of Gondal, and excursion the royal life and encient life style of people. Check in a nice hotel at Rajkot and relax.

Day11-Rajkot- Wankaner- Sayala

Morning visit the home of Mahatma Gandhi , then visit the Maharaja Ranjeet vilas palace and nice hill view too , then check in a nice heritage haveli at Sayala and greet by royal family.

Day12-Sayala- Tribal village/ Boating- Sayala

Day14-Bhuj- Bani Village- Dhorod / Great Rann of Kutch

after breakfast check out and departure for Bani village meet the very special Desh Rabari, vand tribe at their isolated village. Check in a nice eco resort at Great rann of Kutch ( run by tribal communities)

Day17-Dasada- open jeep wild ass safari/ Little rann of Kutch

While rumble in Little rann of Kutch over open jeep safari meet the wild asses , blue bull and different birds and animals on nature.

 

Day18-Modara sun temple- Patan Rani ki Vav- Sidhpur Heritage village- Poshina

After breakfast departure for Modhera sun temple ( 11th c AD, one of the fine artistic sculpture of  chalukya dynesty) ,

Then  visit the Patan step well ( world heritage site by UNESCO on 2014), visit the famous patan textile weaving village, then visit the famous heritage village- Sidhpur, heritage walk over there, then check in a nice heritage palace at Poshina. Da19-Poshina- Bhil and Garacia tribal village- Poshina

By jeep explore the isolated non touristic village in the core jungle of Poshina range, and meet the Bhil and Garacia tribes at there .

Day20-Kumaria Jain temple- Ahmedabad s/s

Morning after early breakfast excursion and explore their lifestyle and then drive towards Jagdalpur enroute visit chirtrakoot waterfall , the Great Maria weekly market . Check in a nice royal resort in side of jungle at Kurendi ( Jagdalpur).

 

Day11-(tue)-Jagdalpur-Dandami Maria village- Tirathgarh- (3hr drive+visit)

Meet one of the most colorful tribe of Chhattisgarh- BISON HORN MARIA ( Dandami Mari)at their village. Their house made by stone plate (enjoy their dance, arranged by us). Then drive to kanger ghati national park – visit the famous waterfall – Tirathgarh. Visit the friendly RAJ MARIA village nearby..

 

D12-(wed)-Jagdalpur-Batra tribe village- Bhumiya tribe village- Mali village (Odisha)- camping(tent accommodation)

Drive towards Batra tribe village and excursion their life style at there. Then meet the Bhumiya tribe ( indigenous tribe of orissa) at their village in lust green forest area. D13-(Thur)-Bonda tribe weekly market-Gadaba tribe village- waterfall-Jeypore (3hr drive+visit)

Meet the most colourful Bonda tribe at there Thursday market, excursion the Dadaba tribe village and enjoy the nature’s beauty at Duduma waterfall. Return back to the nearest town Jeypore. Check in a clean and comfort hotel and relax.

 

Day14-(Fri)-Jeypore- Koraput- famous pottery making village- Kunduli market- Visakhapatnam ( 5hr drive+visit)

Morning after refreshment drive towards to Visakhapatnam, ( the nearest airport and main railway junction). Enroute visit the Jagannath temple at Koraput ( allow all religious people and camera). Then meet the potter making people at their village. The grand Kunduli Market – famous for paraja, Mali, Rana tirbe. Check in a nice hotel on beach in Visakhapatnam.

Note2-  23rd Feb. to 2nd March 2018 there are Bhagoria Festival in Bhil / Bhilala tribe where the young unmarried tribal couple choose their life partner to offering sweet betel leaf and gift , which is very colorful to see this festival in the region of Jhabua and Alirajpur area.

 

And from 25 Sept. to 1st Oct. 2017 there is Bastar Dusshera festival in Southern Chhattisgarh (bastar region)

Achanakmar Wildlife Sanctuary

Located on the north-west  of Bilaspur dist. Of Chhattisgarh (80km from Bilaspur; 180km from Raipur). The sanctuary is covering its span area of 557 sq km of Bilaspur district.
The topography of the region is supports eastern high lands moist deciduous forest, and moist peninsular Sal Forest.         

This wildlife sanctuary is the home for different species of flora and fauna, which covered with different species of trees and medicinal plants. Flora of the sanctuary comprise the trees of Sal, Saja, Bija and Bamboo. Fauna found in the sanctuary includes Bengal Tiger, Leopard,  Gaur, Sambar,chital, striped byena, jackals, the sloth bear, dhole, nilgai, four-horned antelope, chinkara, black buck, muntjak, antilope, cervicapra, Indian muntjac, and wild boar etc., Varieties of birds and reptilian species etc.)

Upon arrival Bilaspur railway station transfer by road (1.30hr drive) to Achanakmar Wildlife Sanctuary check in a clean and comfort eco resort and after fresh up afternoon meet the wild animal and birds on nature while Rumble around the sanctuary by 1st jeep safari.

Day2- Achanakmar Wildlife Sanctuary-

Early standup for the jeep safari and drive towards tangli pathar watch tower area, overlook the photographic view of the sanctuary. Rumble around the sanctuary and meet some rear species of animal and birds on nature.

Also near to the waterhole point to meet the wild animal on nature. Afternoon again the open jeep safari

Day3- Achanakmar Wildlife Sanctuary–Departure

Early standup again for 4th open jeep Safari to meet the wild tiger on nature (depend upon luck) then after breakfast departure for your onwards destination.

Bandhavgarh National Park (190km from Jabalpur; 237 km from Khajuraho): is one place where you can be almost certain of seeing a tiger in its natural habitat. Stretching over 448 sq km. Bandhavgarh National Park is rich in other forms of wildlife like deer, leopard, sambar and wild boar. It is equally rich in bird life, home to over 200 species. Dominating Bandhavgarh National Park area is the Bandhavgarh Fort. Scattered throughout the park and particularly around the fort, are numerous caves containing shrines and ancient Sanskrit inscriptions.

Located in the northern part of Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh. The sanctuary is relatively a small one covering an area of only 245 sq kms. The topography of the region comprises flat and hilly terrain with altitudes ranging between 260-400 mts. The major wildlife of the Barnawapara Sanctuary include Leopard, Sloth Bear, Flying Squirrels, jackals, four-horned Antelopes, Chinkara, Black Buck, Jungle Cat, Barking Deer, Porcupine, Monkey, Bison, Striped Hyena, Wild Dogs, Chital, Sambar, Nilgai, Gaur, Muntjac, wild Boar, cobra, Pythons to name few.

The sanctuary also has a sizable bird population with prominent being the Bulbul, Parrots, white-rumped Vultures, Green Avadavat, Lesser Kestrels, Peafowl, Wood Peckers, Racket-tailed Drongos, Egrets, and Herons.

The flora of Barnawapara wildlife sanctuary chiefly comprises of tropical dry deciduous forest with Teak, sal , Bamboo being the prominent trees.
